Tour de Pizza was founded in 2008 by Matt Mc Clellan. Matt has dedicated his life to changing the image of pizza from a junk food to a health food. After inventing the pizza diet in 2009, he went on a 1300 mile, 22 city bike ride from Saint Petersburg, Florida to New York City to deliver his message that pizza can be both healthy and delicious. From there, he went on to the natural body building world where he became a professional bodybuilder at the ripe age of 41 as a father of two, eating nothing but pizza.
At Tour de Pizza you get the chance to experience the same delicious, nutrition that made Matt a champion, a winner, and GQ magazine elite athlete of the world in April of 2016. My name is Matt McClellan, AKA The Pizza Gladiator. I am the author and inventor of the “30 Day Pizza Diet" founder of Tour de Pizza, I am a husband and father, founding member of Sigma Nu fraternity in Southern Illinois University, founder of the Mulberry/Alvord Neighborhood Watch Association, participant in the 84th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, public speaker on the “Pizza Cruise,” creator of Pepperoni the Pig, host of the World’s Largest Pizza Party, creator of the 1st Annual NYC Pizza Marathon, decorated Pizziaolo with Award Winning Pizza, philanthropist, pizza consultant, health and fitness coach for the US Pizza Team and the Pizza Industry Spokesman.
